Our glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) mount systems for airports satisfy the frangibility requirements in ICAO ANNEX 14, and in the Aerodrome Design Manual, Part 6: “Frangibility.” This conformity was verified not only by the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR) of the Netherlands (see the download link for the NLR certificate on this page, in the right-hand area), but also in the Full-Scale Impact Test by the German Technical Inspection Agencies (TÜV).
If you would like to read the test report from the German Technical Inspection Agencies (TÜV), just send us the filled-out Contact Form with the key words “TÜV Test Report Frangibility”. We will then send you a print version as soon as possible.

Our glide-path poles are made out of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP), and conform to point-to-point microwave radio specifications for rigidity. At the same time, however, the design of the plastic allows then to effectively break away in case of an emergency. Certified by German Air Traffic Control.
